Enhanced hearing
Starkey Hearing Technologies is a privately owned company that makes hearing aids and is one of the largest hearing aid manufacturers in the world. Recently they established a direct-to-consumer start-up brand, called Start Hearing that combines healthcare convenience and consumer tech with their over-the-counter hearing solutions.
We were asked to rebrand Starkey’s D2C brand with a new logo and visual identity and to help with the transition from American Hearing Benefits. After the first round of review, the client challenged us to push them out of their comfort zone. So we designed two dozen-plus logos that went far beyond their expectations. They were inspired by the brand’s story and conveyed journey, start, sound, connection, re-engagement, and innovation. The client loved the work, and the new logo inspired them to blow the Start identity out across their other brands. The success of the brand identity and engagement with the client led to some great conversations and future revenue opportunities to help them with their digital customer experience.
