Financial freedom, ownership and giving back
Marine Credit Union was founded by hardworking people, for hardworking people. The name is derived from the credit union formed in 1949 to serve the employees of Mercury Marine, a Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, manufacturer of outboard motors. MCU has over 35 branches in 3 states, over 75,000 members, and 450 plus employees. MCU focuses on individuals and families in their communities who are often overlooked by mainstream financial services and helps with improving credit scores and the amount they are saving.
Marine needed to reposition themselves as an approachable, inclusive, and transparent partner for their legacy and new members. The brand transition played a crucial role in achieving their goal to be perceived as a financial institution that’s current, individual-focused, and tech-savvy. The new website identity inspired MCU to carry out the new look across the entire brand.
